The No.53 Leavens/Kunz Sebring Sprite

recently restored by owner, Butch Gilbert and now For Sale

 

No 53 and another of the works cars at Sebring

The car lead the class for most of the race but broke its 2nd gear on the way out of the pits the final time, so that it had to limp around the remaining laps to finish second in class behind the 54 car of Sutherland and Stiles.

Recently for sale on eBay the car received 14 bids, the best being $50,100 but was withdrawn as it did not meet its reserve.(21 Dec 2009)
