The late Pat Moss

Sadly I have to report the passing of another great Sprite exponent, Pat Moss who died on 16th October at the age of 73. She was the first woman to win an International rally - the Liège-Rome-Liège in 1960 in an Austin-Healey 3000.  The following year she, and her famous brother, Stirling were entered in the 4 hour race at Sebring driving John Sprinzel's two race prepared coupés PMO 200 and S221.  Pat sportingly swapped cars when Stirling's developed a slipping clutch, Stirling finishing 5th and Pat 7th. Her other sporting interest was as a show-jumper, but we will remember her for her many successes in rallying. She was married to another rallying great - the Saab man, Erik Carlsson. Our condolences to him and their daughter.  See also: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/obituaries/3219388/Pat-Moss.html
